Senem loves cinema, music, dance, and all animals!

She was born in Istanbul. While studying journalism at Aydın Doğan Anatolian Communication High School, she worked with Alin Taşçıyan in Milliyet Art Magazine. At the age of 17, she started working as the assistant of director Levent Semerci. She came first in the competition called Just Marketing organized by METU at the university and was awarded language training in London and an internship at AVIVA PLS in London. She danced professionally and studied theater until the age of 18. She worked in the movies named ‘Nefes: Vatan Sağolsun’, ‘Ayhan Hanım’, ‘Romantik Komedi’ and ‘Sürgün’. She has been involved in more than 350 television commercial projects as a producer, assistant director, and editor of Avid. Her short film Amca 'The Geezer', which she produced and directed, was screened and awarded in international and national festivals such as Cannes Film Festival, İKSV, Boğaziçi, and Boston; and completed the festival journey by receiving the Best National Documentary Award. She continued her career as a director by shooting a commercial starring Cristiano Ronaldo in Spain. For the first time in Turkey, she designed and directed a commercial for Reckitt, which was made entirely in Virtual Production. She continues to work for the development of Virtual Production in her country. After receiving funding from the Turkish Ministry of Culture and TRT 12 Punto, her first motion picture project, 'Harabe' was selected to FFM in Marseille and she received an invitation to France. Senem, who is working on her first film ‘Harabe’, continues her professional career as an advertising director.
